Chippewa Ojibwe Birch Bark Basket 6"

This is a small Chippewa/ Ojibwe style birch bark container made of folded bark and sewn with vegetal fibers. Containers like this could hold water and even be used for cooking! This one is the size of a berry basket, measuring approx 3.25" H x 6" L x 5.25" D. This is a lovely little birch bark basket from a tribal areas that extends from the US into Canada around the Great Lakes area. Wonderful rustic piece for your cabin in the woods!
