Bear-The bear redistributes plant seeds across the land and bears are seen as medicine keepers to the neshnabe. This medallion helps us remember the bear nation and all the work they do to keep our medicines safe. This medallion is sewn with spruce root, has a basswood fiber for the necklace, and etched harvested winter birch bark. Materials were hand harvested by Neshnabkwewek. The medallion is adorned with bone and glass beads

Nmepen-This medallion represents wild ginger. Wild ginger tubers are used in food seasoning and has medicinal purpose. Nmepen is etched under the moon cycles. On the full moon we see Jekaybish holding the water drum. Jekaybish can be seen on a clear night on the full moon. This medallion is sewn with spruce root, has a basswood fiber for the necklace, and etched harvested winter birch bark. Materials were hand harvested by Neshnabkwewek. The medallion is adorned with bone and glass beads.
